Iranian Minister of Industry, Trade and Mines Reza Fatemi Amin announced the expansion of cooperation with Russia in the air and maritime industries, IRNA reported.

"We reached an agreement in the air industry at a meeting with Russian officials. Steps have also been taken in shipbuilding," the Iranian minister said at a meeting with representatives of the country's automakers at the MIMS Automobility Moscow exhibition of automobiles and spare parts.

He noted that Iran is now seeking a leap forward in economic relations with Russia.

The trade minister said Iran's Central Bank and Economy Ministry are making efforts to resolve problems in trade relations between the two countries.

Pointing to the visit of Iran's customs chief to Russia two months ago, Fatemi Amin promised that the customs problems between Tehran and Moscow will soon be resolved.

According to him, Iran is seriously following the free trade agreement between the EEU.
