YEREVAN. – Armenian Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan submitted conception of developing sheep breeding in Armenia to the government.

Specialists stated that only 20-25 percent of sheep breeding potential is used in Armenia. To increase income of sheep breeding, it is better to butcher sheep in Armenia instead of exporting. Thus the wool, skin and gut can be used as well. Armenia could have gained additional AMD 450 million if sheep were butchered in Armenia.
