As a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the roof of the special building of the Zaporizhzhia NPP, where fresh fuel for the plant's reactors is stored, was punctured, RT reported.

Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the Military Civil Administration of the Zaporizhzhia region, said this in his Telegram channel, accompanying the recording with photos of the damaged roof.

"The roof of the special building No. 1 of the Zaporizhzhia NPP was punctured as a result of a strike by Zelensky's fighters. This building stores fresh fuel for ZNPP reactors," Rogov wrote.

Earlier, the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional administration Yevhen Balitskyy expressed the opinion that a possible accident at the Zaporizhzhia NPP as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military would be comparable in its consequences to the tragedies in Chernobyl and Fukushima.

The Kremlin noted that a mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) would arrive at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant via the area controlled by the Ukrainian military.
