The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said that the European Union welcomes the visit of the delegation of the International Atomic Energy Agency to the Zaporozhye NPP and intends to achieve complete demilitarization of the zone around the plant.

Earlier, the authorities of Energodar reported that before the visit of the IAEA mission to the Zaporozhye NPP, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired on the city more than 60 times a day.

Earlier, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said that the agency wants to organize a permanent mission to ZNPP. According to him, the mission faces a very important task - to realistically assess the situation at the station and stabilize it.
