YEREVAN. – Prices of sugar and milk did not go up. But if so, it means their quality was improved, Armenian Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapertyan told at a press conference on Wednesday in Shirak region.

“We checked the quality of milk. It has 20% of fat instead of former 10%. Therefore price should go up,” the minister believes.

The minister also commented on high price for sugar. It should have gone up earlier connected to Georgian price. Still in spring the price was AMD 450-500. At that time Armenia had extra sugar. Currently it imports sugar with higher price, added Karapetyan.
