Turkish President Recep Erdogan does not consider the "provocative" policy of the West against Russia to be correct. He said this after the European Union proposed to limit the prices of Russian gas, Anadolu Agency reported.

"I openly declare that the West's position on the war between Russia and Ukraine is wrong. The actions of the West are based on the provocation of the parties. He declares military support. However, in reality, the West sends stale weapons and scrap metal to Ukraine," Erdogan said.

According to him, as long as the West continues to provoke military action, peace initiatives will not yield results.

Erdogan also noted the cessation of Russian gas supplies to Europe.

"Russia has stopped supplying gas, and prices in Europe have skyrocketed. Now European countries are everywhere looking for ways to overcome the winter season. Why didn't you think of this before? After all, Russia has an important resource in its hands. Instead, they are now analyzing gas storage reserves," Erdogan said.
