Poland said there is a serious risk of war with Russia in the next 10 years, said Polish Deputy Defense Minister Marcin Ociepa.
"There is a serious risk of war with Russia, which we will face in a period of 3 to 10 years. We must use this time for the maximum rearmament of the Polish army," the official said in an interview with Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.
According to him, Poland is implementing the most ambitious armament program in history.
"We will buy Abrams and K2 tanks, Crab and K9 howitzers, HIMARS missile and artillery systems, reconnaissance and communications satellites, missile frigates for the Navy, and drones," he said, adding that Poland plans to increase the army's strength to 300,000 men.
