The police have solved a murder that was committed on September 3 in Tavush Province, informed the Police of Armenia.

On Tuesday, the dead body of an unidentified man—and with physical injuries—was found in the lake of Berkaber village.

It was found out that this was the body of Vrezh P., 61, who was declared missing by the Ijevan city police since September 3.

Criminal proceedings—on murder charges—were launched.

And on Thursday, the police officers apprehended a 57-year-old resident of Aygehovit village and took him to the Ijevan police station.

He confessed that on September 3, at around 5:30pm, he had accidentally shot Vrezh P. in the chest—and with a shotgun—in an Aygehovit garden, and Vrezh P. had died as a result.

Then, in order to hide the body, he had taken it—with his car—to Berkaber village and thrown it into the lake by tying concrete pillars to the victims’ legs.

A 57-year-old man has been detained.

A criminal investigation is underway.
