Gazprom is supplying gas to Europe via Ukraine in the amount of 42.4 million cubic meters per day through the Sukhanovskiy gas pumping station. An application for supplies through Sukhanivka was rejected by the Ukrainian side, a Gazprom spokesman told reporters Sunday, TASS reported.

Gazprom supplies Russian gas for transit through the territory of Ukraine in the amount confirmed by the Ukrainian side, through Suzhanskaya gas pumping station in the amount of 42.4 million cubic meters on September 11. The application for supplies through Sukhanivka has been rejected, a representative of the company noted.

The day before, the volume of pumping reached 42.4 million cubic meters.

The transit of Russian gas through the Ukrainian territory on September 11 could reach 42.4 million cubic meters.

The transit line through Ukraine remains the only route for Russian gas supplies to Western and Central Europe. Pumping of gas through the Nord Stream pipeline has been stopped completely. Gas supplies via Turkish Stream and Blue Stream are intended for Turkey and countries of Southern and Southeastern Europe.

On May 10, the operator of Ukraine's gas transportation system said that starting from May 11, the Sohranivka station will stop transiting gas to Europe because of force majeure circumstances, as the company allegedly could not control the operation of the Novopskov gas compressor station in the Lugansk region. As a result, requests for transportation were rejected and gas was not accepted.

However, the Russian gas holding did not see any grounds for suspending pumping under the previous scheme, noting that it had not received confirmation of any force majeure circumstances. The company added that it was technically impossible to transfer all the transit volumes to another connection point - the Suja gas distribution station in the Kursk Region of Russia.
