India calls on Azerbaijan and Armenia to negotiate and solve the situation on the border by diplomatic way. This was said in a statement by Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi published Tuesday on the ministry's official website.

"We have received reports of attacks along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, including on civilian settlements and infrastructure on September 12-13, 2022. We call on the aggressor side to immediately cease hostilities," the statement said.

Bagchi said the Indian side believes that bilateral disputes should be resolved through diplomacy and dialogue.

"No conflict can be resolved militarily. We urge both sides to continue negotiations to achieve a lasting and peaceful solution," the Indian MFA official said.
