Belarus is following with anxiety the next aggravation of the situation on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported, BelTA informs.

"We mourn the loss of lives on both sides and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. We call on the leadership of friendly Azerbaijan and Armenia for restraint and compliance with all previous agreements. We assume that any conflicts should be settled only through political and diplomatic means," the Foreign Ministry said.

The Ministry added that for its part, Belarus will continue to make efforts in all available formats in order to achieve peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
