Frank Pallone, head of the U.S. Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, condemned Azerbaijan's recent attack on Armenia.

"We must send a strong message that Aliyev's aggression is unacceptable," Pallone tweeted.

Pallone also cited a resolution that calls for an immediate end to all aid to Azerbaijan and reiterates the House of Representatives support for Armenia.

Earlier on Wednesday, Congressman Adam Schiff submitted a resolution to the House of Representatives condemning Azerbaijan's aggression against Armenia.

The resolution submitted, in particular:                                 

Condemns Azerbaijan's unprovoked military attack on Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh on September 13, 2022, and calls for an immediate and unconditional cease-fire;

Urges President Biden to immediately cease all assistance to Azerbaijan under Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act, and to make clear to President Aliyev's administration that further attacks on Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh will result in sanctions or other measures;

Reaffirms the United States' strong support for Armenia's sovereignty and territorial integrity and its strong opposition to Azerbaijan's military aggression in blatant violation of international laws and norms;

Also:

Supports U.S. and international humanitarian assistance programs to meet the immediate needs of victims of Azerbaijani aggression in both Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
