The U.S. welcomes the cessation of hostilities between Azerbaijan and Armenia and will continue to work with the parties to consolidate it. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken tweeted this.

"We welcome the cessation of hostilities between Azerbaijan and Armenia and will continue to work with the parties to seek to cement it. The United States remains committed to promoting a peaceful and prosperous future for the South Caucasus region," he wrote.

As previously reported, Azerbaijani Armed Forces units began intensive shelling of Armenian positions with artillery and large-caliber guns in the direction of Goris, Sotk and Jermuk at 12:05 a.m. on September 13. The adversary also uses UAVs. Intense exchange of fire, which began as a result of a large-scale provocation of the Azerbaijani side, continues. The armed forces of the Republic of Armenia are responding adequately. As of now the Armenian side has 105 dead, over 100 wounded, including civilians. The night before around 8 p.m. a cease fire was declared. According to the Armenian Defense Ministry, the situation on the border has stabilized.
