The countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) intend to step up cooperation in the field of defense and security, according to a declaration following the SCO summit in Samarkand, RIA Novosti reported.
The member states noted the results of the meeting of defense ministers of the SCO member states (Tashkent, August 24-25, 2022) and called for further strengthening of cooperation in the defense and security spheres, the text of the declaration reads.
