A quarter of Russian gas supplies to Turkey will be paid in rubles, Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with Turkish leader Erdogan, RIA Novosti reported.
"We are ready to significantly increase our supplies to the Republic of Turkey in all directions that are of interest to you. As you know, our agreement on the supplies of Russian natural gas to Turkey with a 25 percent ruble payment is expected to start soon. As far as I understand the issues have been agreed," he said.
Besides, the President noted that Ankara reliably performs its obligations on the transit of the Russian fuel.
"Supplies to Europe via Turkish Stream do not fail," Putin said.
