Greece and Cyprus support the independence and territorial integrity of Armenia, Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias stated after his meeting with Cypriot Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides on the sidelines of the UNGA.

He noted that a trilateral meeting between the foreign ministers of Greece, Cyprus and Armenia was held today. "In this context, we had the opportunity to hold a trilateral meeting together with the Armenian Foreign Minister. He briefed us on what is happening in the South Caucasus and we had the opportunity to jointly formulate our firm position in support of Armenia's independence and territorial integrity. Any revisionism, no matter where it comes from, no matter what country it starts from and, in fact, with an attempt to use the energy situation as a weapon against certain states to try to change things on the ground, will meet our resistance," he said.

According to him, Greece and Cyprus have always been united by their commitment to international law, to the rights to independence and territorial integrity of all states and, of course, to the international law of the sea.
