State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Alexander Volfovich ruled out mobilization in the country. According to him, there is no question of its introduction in the country.
"Mobilization is not about us, the people of Belarus and the country are mobilized anyway," he told to journalists after a meeting with Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev.
He adds that the Armed Forces of Belarus are ready "to fight back with those forces and means that are designed for this purpose," namely the peacetime forces carrying out the tasks of national defense and constitutional order in their territory. Volfovich also stressed that Belarus posed no threat to anyone, and the task of the people's militia was to defend their country.
