Deputies of the Senate of Kazakhstan's parliament on Thursday passed a law excluding the First President's Day from the list of state holidays. The session is being broadcast on the legislative body's website.

"It is proposed to exclude the First President's Day - December 1 - from the list of state holidays," the Senate committee on socio-cultural development and science said in a statement.
