YEREVAN.- The output of ARMENAL plant, the only producer of aluminum foil in the Caucasus and Central Asia, totaled 13,110 tons in the first half of 2011, a 8.2% increase as compared with the same period last year.

Company’s volume of exports made 12,602 tons, a 4% increase as compared with Jan.-June 2010.

According to Armenia’s customs service, export growth of ARMENAL reached $45.1 million (a 19% increase).

The ARMENAL plant was established in Yerevan in May 2000 using the facilities of the Kanaker aluminum production plant. The plant is the only producer of aluminum foil in the Caucasus and Central Asia. ARMENAL formed part of RUSAL in 2000.
