Spokesman for the Russian president Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin's security is ensured at the appropriate level, Gazeta.ru reported. 

He thus commented on former White House national security adviser John Bolton's statement that the Russian president would become a legitimate military target if Russia used nuclear weapons.

According to Peskov, Vladimir Putin's security is ensured at an adequate level, taking into account all threats. He also stressed that Russia does not want to engage in nuclear rhetoric.
