Ukraine stops exporting electricity due to Russian missile attacks on energy facilities, a statement from the Ukrainian Energy Ministry reported, UNIAN writes.

"Today's rocket attacks, which damaged the thermal generation and electrical substations, force Ukraine to go to a halt from October 11, 2022, the export of electricity to stabilize its own energy system," the Ministry of Energy explained.

Even after the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant was shut down, Ukraine was fulfilling its obligations to European partners to export electricity, the ministry stressed.
