France-Armenia relations are special. Arman Yeghoyan, Chair of the Standing Committee on European Integration of the National Assembly of Armenia, noted this during a meeting Tuesday with Sebastien Delogu, a member of the French National Assembly.
"France has a cornerstone role for Armenia. It is encouraging that a representative of the second largest faction of the French Parliament is in Armenia and shows such interest in the problems facing Armenia," Yeghoyan added.
He emphasized the key role of France in the work being carried out towards stopping the Azerbaijani military aggression on the sovereign territory of Armenia and overcoming its consequences.
The French lawmaker, for his part, lauded the relations formed between the two countries. Noting that Armenia has faced many difficult challenges especially recently, Delogu said that he is in Armenia to get familiarize with the situation on the ground.
