Food security of the population is one of the main challenges of the 21st century. Armenia's Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan said this during the forum on "Key Issues and Opportunities of Armenia's Agri-Food Systems."

"The development of the agricultural sector, in terms of food security, enables to keep in focus the basic human need: food. And we must work to be able to fully satisfy this basic need," Keropyan added, in particular.

Also, he assured that the implementation of food security programs and raising its level is very important for the Armenian government.
