The Turkish side has reacted very positively to the proposal to create a new gas hub and has shown interest, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told RIA Novosti.

"There was a very positive reaction, an interested reaction," Peskov said, referring to the talks between the presidents of Russia and Turkey in the margins of the summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).

Putin said Russia could move gas transit from Nord Stream to the Black Sea region and Turkey.
