The U.S. has warned that it may impose sanctions against individuals, countries and companies that supply munitions to Russia or support its military-industrial complex, Reuters reported.

Treasury Undersecretary Wally Adeyemo said the department will issue guidance making it clear that Washington is willing and able to impose such harsh measures.

"This morning, Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control is issuing guidance making clear that we are willing and able to sanction people, companies, or countries that provide ammunition to Russia or support Russia’s military-industrial complex,” Adeyemo said.

In addition, the Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and the Commerce Department's Bureau of Industry and Security will outline actions taken against the Russian military-industrial complex and highlight the risks of those who provide material support to Russia.
