The first echelons of Russia military personnel from the regional grouping of troops have arrived in Belarus, the defense ministry of Belarus reported.

The decision to create a regional grouping of troops was taken and is being implemented with one single purpose: to strengthen the protection and defense of the state border of the Union State on the territory of Belarus. The decision is conditioned by the military activity, which is not interrupted in the border areas of the neighboring countries, BelTA reported.
