An air defense system went off over Belgorod, RIA Novosti reported.
Sixteen explosions sounded in the center of Belgorod on Sunday morning.
According to the agency, windows in houses were shaking, car alarms went off, the sounds were of varying volume from quiet to very loud.
As the FSB reported earlier, the number of Ukrainian bombings in Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions has significantly increased since the beginning of October.
