A Russian Su-34 supersonic fighter-bomber crashed in Yeysk, Krasnodar territory, the pilots ejected, the Russian Defense Ministry said Monday.

"On October 17, 2022, a Su-34 aircraft crashed while climbing to an altitude for a training flight from a military airfield in the Southern Military District. The plane crashed within the city limits of Yeysk. According to reports of ejection pilots, the reason of the crash was the fire of one of the engines during takeoff. At the site of the Su-34 crash in the yard of one of the residential neighborhoods, the plane's fuel caught fire," the report says.
