YEREVAN. – Works on Iran-Armenia railroad construction are in progress, Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan told at the meeting with diplomatic representatives on Wednesday.

According to the PM, Armenia runs negotiations with Russian and Iranian corresponding agencies on project development, timetable of the railroad construction and financial issues.

The Iran-Armenia railroad will allow Armenia to use the alternative way of transportation and get an exit to the world. Currently Armenia communicates with the world only through Georgia.
