Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan, who is in Bulgaria on a state visit, met with Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandykova on Tuesday, the press service of the Bulgarian President informed NEWS.am.
Vahagn Khachaturyan said that Armenia and Bulgaria, being the bearers of a rich cultural heritage, actively cooperated over the past 30 years, especially in the preservation and restoration of cultural heritage.
The sides discussed issues related to exchanging experience in bilateral cooperation, boosting cooperation in transportation and communication, as well as the implementation of the Armenia-EU comprehensive and enlarged partnership agreement.
The Mayor of Sofia was pleased to announce that the consecration of the Armenian Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary is scheduled to take place soon.
President Khachaturyan also made an entry in the Book of Honorary Guests at the Sofia City Hall.
