Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said that in recent weeks, in recent days, there had been an exchange of views with the United States. An hour before his  arrival in Yerevan, he had a conversation with Josep Borrell, the head of EU diplomacy. Everything is going in the right direction. His remarks came at the Thursday's briefing in Yerevan, answering a question about the renewal of the Iranian nuclear deal. According to him, an agreement has been reached to form more effective cooperation and negotiations, especially in the direction of Iran's cooperation with the IAEA. "The IAEA is making unfair statements about Iran. We asked for appropriate responses and the development of a protocol to be applied. In addition, we have negotiated the release of Iranian and U.S. prisoners. On this issue we achieved good results. An American delegation came to Iran through a third country. As part of the humanitarian mission, one prisoner, an Iranian and U.S. national, was handed over to Oman. Negotiations are continuing," Hosein Amir-Abdollahian added.

At the same time, the U.S. and some Western countries have made hasty statements about the recent protests.

"We are in control.  We separate the terrorists and the people who are just protecting their interests. None of the second group of citizens has been persecuted. We called on Western countries not to take steps against Iran's leadership based on erroneous information, not to link this to the negotiations on the nuclear deal, and not to prevent a return to comprehensive negotiations," the minister concluded.
