British bookmakers consider former Prime Minister Boris Johnson to be one of the favorites to head the government.

The Express earlier reported that Johnson is likely to run for prime minister. According to the Telegraph newspaper, he urged Conservative MPs to support his candidacy.
On the previous day, British Prime Minister Liz Truss announced that she was resigning after 44 days in office. In the history of the United Kingdom, she went down as the prime minister with the shortest tenure.
