U.S. President Joe Biden said he intends to run for president in 2024, but has not yet made a formal decision.

"I have not made that formal decision, but it’s my intention – my intention to run again. And we have time to make that decision" Biden said in an interview with MSNBC.

He added that there is still time to make a final decision whether or not to run for president.

In early October, the White House reported that Biden intends to run for president in the elections of 2024. However, the results of opinion polls show that 75% of Democratic Party supporters do not want to see him as a candidate.

In September a Yahoo News-YouGov poll showed that 24% of Americans support the White House leader's path to reelection, while 59% oppose his plans for a second term.

Analyst Liz Peake believes that Biden has failed in his mission as a true leader of the West and has not taken critical steps to support the U.S. and global economy.

Biden was born Nov. 20, 1942, and is now 79 years old. When he took office at 78, he became the oldest U.S. president in the country's history.
