Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received European Parliament Resident Rapporteur for Armenia Andrey Kovatchev.

During the meeting, Pashinyan praised Kovatchev's activities and cooperation with the European Parliament that stem from the Armenian government's democratic reform agenda, the press service of the Armenian government informed NEWS.am. He stressed the importance of EU mediation efforts to achieve peace in the region and the EU observation mission on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the progress of democratic reforms, regional problems, the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh, the delimitation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan and other issues. Nikol Pashinyan touched upon the Armenian prisoners of war, hostages and other people still held in Azerbaijan, expressed gratitude to the European Parliament for the resolutions adopted on their return and stressed the importance of the European Parliament's continuous efforts in this direction.
