The Turkish Armed Forces strengthened control over the Bosphorus Strait because of the mines drifting in the Black Sea, the Milliyet newspaper writes.

According to the newspaper, the situation in the Strait is controlled by maritime patrol aircraft, helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), as well as from the sea with the help of mines and patrol ships. The Bosphorus is also monitored using electro-optical surveillance systems.
