Representatives of Russia and Iran have given comprehensive answers in the UN Security Council to the US accusations of alleged use of Iranian drones in Ukraine, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told reporters on Monday in the margins of the 19th annual meeting of the Valdai international discussion club, TASS reported.

"As for the specific situation with drones from Iran, the representatives of Iran and the Russian Federation have given exhaustive answers officially, including in the UN Security Council," he said.

Commenting on the relevant U.S. accusations, Lavrov pointed out that Washington does not live by international law, but by its own rules. "These rules are that everything is allowed to them," the minister stressed.

Earlier, Russian and Iranian officials rejected claims by a number of Western media outlets that Iranian drones were supplied to Russia for use in Ukraine. The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, called such reports rubbish and stressed that Russia uses domestically produced UAVs.
