Armenian Ambassador Armella Shakaryan on Tuesday presented her credentials to the President of Costa Rica, Rodrigo Chaves, Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned from the Armenian embassy in Mexico.

During the private conversation following the official ceremony, Ambassador Shakaryan expressed to President Chaves Armenia's readiness to deepen relations with Costa Rica.

Also, the Armenian envoy briefed the Costa Rican president on the difficult present-day situation in the South Caucasus, and stressed the important role of the international community in establishing peace in the region.
