Russia should build its security the more fully the closer American troops are to its borders, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, commenting on the deployment of the 101st U.S. Airborne Division in Romania, RIA Novosti reported.

"The closer American troops are to our borders, the greater the danger for us," Peskov told reporters.

According to him, based on this, Russia will build a policy to ensure its own security. In any case, he added, such movements of U.S. troops near Russia's borders "do not lead to greater predictability and stability."
