The withdrawal of Azerbaijani troops from the sovereign territory of Armenia is a priority on any platform for the Armenian side. Andranik Kocharyan, a member of the ruling majority "Civil Contract" Faction in the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia and chair of the NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security, said this during the traditional press briefings at the NA Thursday.
According to him, the withdrawal of these Azerbaijani troops is a "red line" and Yerevan's demand.
"Regardless of the course of the negotiation process, what belongs to Armenia is not subject to discussion. The presence of any foreign military in our sovereign territory cannot be considered acceptable in any way. They must leave our territory pacifically," said Kocharyan.
