Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to attend a meeting of CSTO leaders on Friday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"Yes, he plans to," Peskov said when asked if the Russian president would attend the session.

An extraordinary session of the CSTO Collective Security Council will be held on Friday, where assistance to Armenia will be discussed. During the session it is planned to discuss the results of the CSTO mission, sent to Armenia on 15 September 2022 by the decision of the CSTO Security Council due to the deteriorating situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. It is also planned to consider joint measures to assist the Republic of Armenia.
