A high school student in London wrote a fantasy novel that became a bestseller, Good News Network reported. The idea for the book came to him during his quarantine.

Dylan Brennan, 16, began writing the book in April 2020 when he realized he was spending too much time playing video games. A draft of the novel was ready nine months later, but the final version was not released until October 2022.

According to the Brit, he was inspired by his favorite authors: Martin, Tolkien and Sapkowski. The story of Brennan's work revolves around the protagonist, Lord Simon Pargion, who visits a close friend and King Emannar Woodgerd and uncovers a plot to kill the monarch.

Dylan says he has already received $150 in sales in Spain, Germany, the United States and Australia, but the number of people who have bought his book is only growing by the day.

Brennan added that he already plans to start writing a second book. It will most likely be a crime novel.
