Poland has received the first Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) purchased from Turkey, Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said at the ceremony of handing over the machines to the 12th base of unmanned aerial vehicles in Miroslawiec, reports TASS.

The first Bayraktars are already in the 12th base. The first soldiers were trained in Turkey, he pointed out.

This is an important stage in the process of equipping the Polish army, the minister said, stressing that these UAVs can carry out both reconnaissance and strike missions.

The first system delivered to Poland includes six drones and three control stations. In addition, ground support systems, spare parts and diagnostic equipment have been delivered.
