Dozens of female students protested Sunday morning in front of the university gates in northeastern Afghanistan's Badakhshan province, demonstration participants told RIA Novosti.

Earlier this month, Afghan women held a protest in front of the gates of Kabul University over the expulsion of female students.

According to female students at the university in Badakhshan, they decided to demonstrate after the Taliban prevented several girls from entering the educational institution on the pretext of not wearing the hijab.
