A radar will be deployed in Turkey within the framework of anti-missile defense system created by U.S. and NATO, said representative of Turkish MOD Selcuk Unal.

The diplomat recalled that the decision was made at NATO’s last year summit in Lisbon and Turkey always supported works related to implementation of the initiative, RIA Novosti reports.

By deploying a radar Turkey will make a contribution to the defense system developed within NATO’s new strategy, Unal added.
