Turkey will continue its efforts to solve the food security problem despite Russia's hesitations, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.

"We have sought to supply wheat produced in Ukraine and Russia to countries facing the threat of famine.

Through the joint mechanism we set up in Istanbul, we made Ukrainian wheat available to the world and helped reduce the food crisis.

Although Russia is hesitant in this regard due to the lack of the same opportunities for itself, we will continue to do our best to serve humanity," Erdogan said, speaking at a medical summit in Istanbul, RIA Novosti reported.
