Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said he was guided by Russian President Vladimir Putin's public statements on Nagorno Karabakh during the talks in Prague.

Pashinyan said that the agenda of bilateral relations is broad. However, he will focus on regional security issues.

"You touched upon the issue of a possible peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, noting some important parameters of this process related to Nagorno-Karabakh and saying that you will support the choice of those principles in favor of which the Armenian side will speak," Pashinyan said.

He also noted that during the last meeting of CSTO with Putin's participation, he said that approaches proposed by the Russian draft of basic principles on Nagorno-Karabakh and parameters for the establishment of interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia are acceptable for Armenia.

Pashinyan expressed hope that the Russian President will support the Armenian side's proposal, namely to refer to the relevant document in the text of today's possible trilateral statement after the trilateral meeting: "Armenia proposed this, but so far we have no confirmation that the Russian side supports this proposal. This in no way contradicts the proposals reached in Prague on October 6, 2022. For Armenia the issue of withdrawal of Azerbaijani troops from the Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh, which they invaded in March 2022 and contrary to the agreements at the highest level, is important".
