Turkey continues to take the necessary initiatives to solve the problems associated with the implementation of the grain deal, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this during telephone talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, TASS reports.

"President Erdogan said that Turkey continues to make the necessary initiatives to all parties to resolve problems related to the implementation of the Istanbul memorandum on grain supplies," the Turkish leader's office told reporters.

Erdogan expressed confidence that if solution-oriented cooperation is established in this issue (grain deal), as in many other issues, the grain crisis will be solved through a constructive approach. In this case, the steps that will be taken to return to negotiations (between Russia and Ukraine) will also be encouraged.
