Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Military Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Maharram Aliyev visited Nakhchivan.

At the meeting with Nakhchivan Supreme Council Chairman Vasif Talıbov, the sides exchanged views on the army permanently stationed in Nakhchivan, measures for material and technical supply of formations and military units, increasing the professionalism of personnel, improving service and living conditions.

In accordance with the requirements and recommendations of President Ilham Aliyev, instructions were given for strengthening the combat capabilities of the Armed Forces, providing them with more effective weapons and combat equipment, further improving the interrelationships between military institutions, ensuring participation in international exercises.
