The threat of the use of nuclear weapons by the Russian Federation exists and it is not related to the failure to comply with their ultimatums. However, one should not be afraid of the Russians, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with Czech television.
"I'm not sure that there will be a nuclear war. I don't want to assess it, because Russia is very fond of doing the opposite. It hears some kind of a message, 'Oh, like Ukraine said, says what's going to happen? Let's make it so it won't be"... They say 'won't use nuclear,' and Russia says 'let's think about how to use it,'" Zelenskyy said.
The president explained that it is because of such actions of the Kremlin that he does not want to assess the possibility of nuclear war.
"I believe that Russia should not be feared, I do not believe that they are adequate. You shouldn't link Russian ultimatums or compliance with their conditions to 'if you don't comply, they will use (nuclear) weapons.'" This is a big mistake, absolutely unrelated things," Zelenskyy explained.
