The United States has reason to believe that Iran intends to supply ground-to-ground missiles to Russia, but has not yet done so, National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby said, without explaining why Washington believes so or providing evidence for this version. Moscow and Tehran have previously denied information about alleged deliveries of Iranian weapons to the Russian side.
The U.S. does not see indication to date that such deliveries have taken place, but they continue to monitor it closely. The U.S. have reason to believe it will happen, but so far there is no indication that it has already happened, Kirby said in a telephone briefing.
Similarly, the U.S. administration has previously alleged Iranian intentions to supply Russia with unmanned aerial vehicles for their subsequent use in a special military operation in Ukraine.
